Mark has facilitated many community workshops and projects, whether its Family Learning, adult education, museum interpretation or community events. Workshops are designed to provide creative opportunities, be co-creative, engaging and fun, whilst passing on skills and enabling participants.
Recent projects include;
HAF Holiday Workshops, 2021- present, Severn Arts. Providing visual arts workshops on behalf of Severn Arts, funded by HAF across Worcestershire.
Worcester Carnival, 2023. Co-creating a Jamaica themed carnival float with the Worcester Afro Caribbean Association. Working with the Association to bring their ideas alive, and enjoying coming together and reminiscing as part of the process.
Barber Health Outreach Programme, 2022-23, Barber Institute of Fine Arts. Delivering a 6 month programme with residents of a local retirement village, responding to some of the Barber's portraits in the permanent collection and exploring the theme of identity. Based on a monthly art club format, we tried different techniques and materials including collage, clay, collagraphs and dry point etching.
